It all started with a visit to a friend who just happens to own a timber joinery. He was lamenting the fact it would cost him a small fortune to dump his "ripping's". Well how big are these "ripping's"? (off cuts) I ask. It turns out there was about 1½ tons of New Guinea Rosewood who's average size was 50mm X 25mm X 2700mm and some larger. In the end he was happy for me to take it off his hands, I gave half to a mate as I'd never use that much NG Rosewood. I made this table out of the ripping's for the joinery owner as a thank you. To make it a bit different & visually lighter I made tapered, curved laminated legs for it. Overall dimensions are: 1000mm long X 330mm deep X 870mm tall.
